Can't configure XP Pro SP3 and Digi 001
Hi everyone,
my old pc broke down, so I had to get a new one. It's an Asus P8 Z68-VLE with XP Pro SP3. I tried to install correctly all the PT 6.4 stuff, with the 6.4.0.149cs9 driver (C:\\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\Dalwdm.sys), but it doesn't work: -In the Audio Settings, there is no Digi in the "Sound Recording" section (but Digi 001 is in the Sound Playback and Midi Music Playback sections). -when I try to launch PT Le, I got a blue screen, with these technical informations: ***STOP: 0x000000FC (0xA7854924, 0x569C9963, 0xA7854898, 0x00000001) What can I do? Thx.

Re: Can't configure XP Pro SP3 and Digi 001
Have/are you:
updated the PACE Interlok drivers?(do this from Device Manager>Hardware) Installed Quicktime?(you need it for all versions of Pro Tools) running a separate recording drive? Speaking of Device Manager>Hardware, does the 001 PCI card appear there? Does it say this device is operating properly(IOW, no yellow flag)? You need both the cs6 and cs9 updates. Are you running a separate graphics card and have the onboard graphics disabled in BIOS?(remember that integrated graphics has often been a show stopper for PT)? Posting a Sandra report would be the next step if none of this helps Help us Help You - READ THIS Before Posting!

Re: Can't configure XP Pro SP3 and Digi 001
Thx albee for your answer
(I was far from my home § computer, so I couldn't try this before). -I installed Quick Time, PT LE 6.4, then cs.6, then cs.9, and updated the Pace Drivers, and now Pro Tools is running! But,, there's still nothing in the "sound recording" section, and I can't record anything with PT. In the device manager, in front of the Digi 001, there's no yellow flag or the like. As you mentionned, I use the onboard graphics card, so I'm gonna look for a separate graphics card. (I disabled the onbaord audio card). Re: Can't configure XP Pro SP3 and Digi 001
And by the way: would you recommend a specific graphics card? (If you think the problem comes form that)
Thx
