Default import session data without audio data

is there a way to import session data without importing the playlists and accompanying audio files?

i know there are options to as to how to connect to existing files or copy and make new media. i don't want any of that. i just want the track and all it's setting, plugins etc...

this is the way i begin every project. import session data and then have to go through the meticulous process of deleting all the files yada yada...

shouldn't there just be an option that says - "No playlists thank you!"

??

Any ideas out there?

Thanks
-Rob

Track Data to Import (Track Attributes) is HD Only and DVTK2/CPTK LE Only.

There is, but you have to purchase the DV Toolkit 2 or the Complete Production Toolkit to get that feature.

thanks - figured out how to click in the top timeline abd the Ctrl+A selects everything for easy deletion.

also figured out that the dialog box that says you are going to "DELETE the files permanently from the disk" when clearing the regions - it means that you will delete the files you copied only not the ones from the session you imported from IF you imported with the "Copy from source media" checked.

so - that's better than what i was doing - thanks for the info. it forced me to find a way to do it without spending money!

Heck, i'd settle for the $50 upgrade to my DV Toolkit 2 so that I could actually use the feature we're talking about!

Then again, the CPTK looks nice...
