Default Internal effects buss is out of phase...

I'm wondering why on certian plug-ins when I use aux sends sending audio to an aux effects track (only w/ the L1 limiter and Renn eq) the track starts to have hints of phase?
Anyone have this problem. It's all internal bussing so theres no latency issue so if you have an explanation please let me know.

what gave you the idea that there's no latency on busses and inserts?

I had no idea that an Internal buss would have latency. I'm not sending the audio outside the 001 and since it stays w/ in Pro tools I honestly thought it would have no latency. Are you sure on that?

This happens to me also. When I buss the drum tracks to an Aux and put a Ren Comp on it. The phasing is unbearable. I've never posted this to the DUC, but I need some advice also.

Anyone?

A buss send has 1 sample of latency.. plug-ins will add their own latency which can differ according to the plug-in.. and sometimes with something like AutoTune will vary by how much the plug-in has to do.

Print the effect/eq/compression/whatever.. then slide the region back in time.

Try sending all your drums tracks to a bus pair. Create two aux inputs and put a compressor on each one. Bypass one of them. No phase problems.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Putting a bypassed plug-in on a track is just the same as having no plug at all. If you want to do this real time set the OUTPUTS (not buss sends, less CPU power) of your drums to a bus pair, then use 2 stereo aux's with ins as aforementioned bus pair. Stick your comp-plug on one pair. If the phase is bothersome stick a delay plug on the other and adjust accordingly. I would say bouncing is a better solution, but bounces on LE sound like such crap I try to avoid them. I have also found the Renaissance plugs to have more phase probs then others. The *$&%ed up world of latency.
