Default Resolved: VCA in Folder Track bug (PT-240900)

If I activate a previously inactive Routing Folder, any VCAs that are in the Folder do not get reactivated properly. They appear like the attached screen shot, with the group name greyed out. I then have to go through each folder and re-assign the groups manually.
This happens consistently but only if the session is closed and then re-opened in-between de-activating and re-activating the Folder Track.
This seems quite serious to me, especially if one is having to work fast and doesn't necessarily have time to check that everything is working that should be working ...
I'm using PT Ultimate 2023.9.0 on an Intel Mac Pro.

It's a bug for sure. I run into this all the time; if the VCAs are inside a folder that is then de-activated and session closed, upon re-opening session and re-activating folder all VCAs assignments are inactive and have to be re-routed. Super-annoying, and dangerous if you don't notice it and print as is. 2024.3.1 here on MacStudios.

Hello everyone!

Do you all have existing support cases on going? please feel free to reply with your case number so I can bump it up the team and get escalated if needed.

Thanks!

Hi Chris....

I added the image to your case and also a few more notes. One thing... what OS are you on ?

I'll create a case too.

IIRC this is a very old bug. I don't think it has anything to do with folders, just the action of making a VCA inactive. Upon re-activating it, it remembers the assignment but it is greyed out.

Attaching an image of a session that has no folders and wasn't even closed and reopened. Just making the VCA inactive and active again.
