Default Help!! Logic Control and 001

Hi,

I just got my new Logic Control, downloaded OMS Driver from Logic site, hooked-up control to 001 midi i/o, followed the instruction in manual. Well, it still doesn't wanna work. Is there anybody using this setup? I'm starting to think that I need a midi interface. Basically, with an open session , I keep getting a message that ProTools can't comunicate with unit, meanwhile I can make the sliders move when moving those on my screen. Can anyone help with this?

Hi guys...
Hmm...I think you might be wrong about this one David.
Right on the front page of emagic's website (under "One Controller to Rule Them All"): "...and the XS key is not required for the Logic Controller system, so use is not limited to registered owners of Logic Audio Platinum 5...".
I was looking into this controller for my LE kit...

Oops. Mea Culpa! I was reading from the Logic Control manual, which is apparently now outdated!

Thanks for correcting me.

Do you have an XS Key? Logic Control won't function without it. You can only get it when you are a licensed Logic Audio user. So basically you need to purchase a legit version of Logic 5.x

Next time try here !

Thank you guys. You're right there's no need for xskey. Well it turns out that I needed an external midi interface, which I got last night. The oms 001 driver doesn't seem to work with logic control (it does recognize sysex) and I haven't seen any digi oms driver updates, last one is from February, 2001. After installing my new usb midiman 2x2, everything works. Thank you for your help.
