Digidesign I/O 96 gain problems

Hi,

I have a problem with low gain levels on 1-2 output and 7-8 input of Digidesign 96. I checked +4 and -10 settings but nothing helps. Gains remains low.

Does anyone know if there is any reset procedure for Digidesign 96 or do I have to deal with damaged pair of inputs and outputs? I'm on Pro Tools 8 HD3 on Mac Pro.

I'm sure I'm asking a dumb question, but what preams do you use? Digidesign HD interfaces only accept LINE-LEVEL signals...

Yeah, I know that they are line levels. I noticed when I output 1-2 out of Digidesign to Presonus Central Station and did a calibration on Presonus and levels didn't mach. Then I changed outputs to 3-4 and it was ok. There I knew that I have a problem with 1-2 output with low level.

Than I connected my outboard TC reverb to insert 7-8 what means input and output 1-8 and the signal back in was low. When I moved to 5-6 it was ok.

If anyone have a clue I would appreciate very much for help.

I service and modify them if you are interested in sending it on in

with a tone generator, a multimeter, and some cables you can check you ins and outs before sending it out

Thank you The Dude but I live in Europe so the shipping would cost me more than it's actual value of Digidesign 96.

Yes, I tested with sine tone and the outputs are low. It's strange that they are both equaly quieter because I beleive that if they were blown than it would not work at all or at different levels.
