Very practical for checking versions and such. Although I haven't really looked into the latest version of Pete's utility, they might be overlapping in functionality.
Hey Ben,
They overlap somewhat. My utility is only concerned with AAX plugins though, it doesn't scan AU/VST/VST3 as they're of no interest to me right now, I could include them at some point I guess, if there was sufficient demand.

Cheers,
Pete

Hi Ben,
Search box... or maybe filter box... good idea.

Manufacturer is a surprisingly tricky one as it's not directly stored in the plugins Plists and I haven't found Where it's stored yet. It must be available somewhere as you can group plugins by Manufacturer in Pro Tools.

Cheers,
Pete

Thanks Pete. Figured that manufacturer could be accessed for that reason. Drag it’s difficult.

Thanks again.

I'll find it. Might take some time though.

Okayyyy, released the new simplified Version 2 from Beta. If you have a compatible version of MacOS I would recommend it over Version 1, though I have left that up for people who require it.

Cheers,
Pete

When more people have used it over the coming weeks I'll start looking at adding the features people have been asking for.

Cheers,
Pete

An update...
1: I'm working on a Filter box.

2: Getting the manufacturer and a guaranteed correct plugin name is ridiculously hard to access, turns out it's only available to the AAX plugin host - the plugin reports these things to the host. There's no robust way of any external software accessing this info as far as I've found so far.

Cheers,
Pete
