Oxygen 49 Keyboard Driver update failure

Avid suggested I update the driver for my Oxygen 49 keyboard to work with ProTools 2024.3. I downloaded the latest driver from M-Audio (Oxygen MKV) for Mac and followed the installation Read Me. Half way through the update, an error message popped up and said "Data Error", and the updater quit. Now I have no driver and the keyboard is dead. I tried doing this on 3 different computers with the same result.

M-Audio has not responded at all to my email for help, and I don't expect them to. Short of buying a new keyboard, anyone have some ideas to bring my keyboard back to life?

Try going back to 2023.12.1 perhaps.
Avid broke (removed) the legacy M-Audio midi driver in 2024.3. I suspect that’s what is wrong.

Actually, my issue at this point is not with Pro Tools. Because of a failed driver update on the Oxygen 49 keyboard, it has no driver and thus is not even powering up for use. I was hoping to get some advice on how to remedy this from someone who has run into this situation.

Sounds like keyboard is dead.
Look up factory reset, different usb cable etc…

Or avoid M-Audio All together. When AVID sold them, all the old equipment stopped working and they won't release drivers pre AVID ownership.

I dumped all M-Audio gear since then. I got an NI 88 Mk2 2 years ago. Sticking with that.

Indeed, poor drivers are one of the things that killed M-Audio for many of us.
