Starting a new project, importing an audio file to have some audio. Creating a stereo Master fader track. All good, playback OK. Inserting a PT EQ for example on the Master fader track, and then trying to create a track preset makes PT crash completely every time I try.

We'll need more info from your computer's specs. RAM? Processor? Operating System and OS version? System Type?
Thanks

Am I the only one with this configuration experiencing this?

And does Pro Tools crash with an error, or message in the log file?

Yes, I usually report the crash logs to Avid.

That is not what I asked, and doing that is unlikely to help you.
What *exact* error if any do you see on the screen? Or if no error on the screen what error is in the log file (~/Library/Logs/Avid/Pro_Tools_*.txt)? or if you can't make sense of those cyptic files maybe just give the last dozen lines or so, or even better post the file on a file sharing site and put the link here. You say *Project*, which has specific meaning in Pro Tools, I really hope you really mean a *Session* not a Project. Pro Tools Cloud Projects are buggy and unreliable I would never try to use them. In contrast Pro Tools Sessions are saved on local disk and you should be using those. If you are using a session what type of drive/filesystem is the session save on? If you have been using a Cloud Project, give up now and work with Sessions. Have you tried any standard troubleshooting? Trashed prefs? (use Pete Gates' free PT Prefs2 utility). Tried running after moving all .aaxplugin files from the plugin directory? (Pro Tools will automagically put back core plugins) just test with those. etc. --- Rolling back Sequoia is likely a waste of time. Many of us are running on all different version of Sequoia including folks like me who have been running on the latest betas without any problems (well one Apple bug that briefly broke iLok in a beta but has been fixed). Sequoia and the latest versions of Pro Tools has been a relatively stable combination. |

Yes I meant session (project in Logic lingo), thanks.
I can not find an Avid folder in the Logs directory, nor any log files elsewhere. I have trashed prefs previously, and will do a systematic plugin scrutiny after I deliver my current project (!). |
