Im running Pro Tools 12.3.1 with Quicktime 7.7.9 (latest version) and im running into a consistent problem. The moment i try to bounce to quicktime, the program freezes and instantly crashes.
Ive tired: Reverting to an older version of Quicktime Reinstalling the current version of Quicktime Changing settings within the bounce options (after a few tries, even entering that menu crashed the program) I read that Quicktime isnt supported anymore by Apple and my question is simply why would Pro Tools still run and work with Quicktime, when the future versions of Windows are less and less compatible with it and cause issues like this. Im assuming thats the cause, since i cant understand for the life of me what is happening, i dont even have the blessing of an error message) |

Welcome to DUC
Reinstall QuickTime 7.7.9 – select the first option “Modify” - but only install "QuickTime Essentials" (don’t install “QuickTime Player” and “Optional QuickTime Features”) It’s been a while since I last used Pro Tools 12 (I had QuickTime 7 version 7.79.80.95) - but only installing "QuickTime Essentials" worked for me, so I hope it works for you, too! |
