Or is there a hidden early version in Ventura which I'm not aware? Or maybe it's only with Ventura in silicon Macs?

Hey thanks for that! I no longer have a Ventura system to look at and could not remember for sure. I was looking around to find a VM image to check. I suspect then Ventura has the earlier style more hidden voice isolation than what shows up in later macOS versions. I even checked some developer notes but they were clearly counting all these types together. The earlier versions were available for apps that wanted this to explicitly invoke… obviously not annoying enough so Apple made it much worse with the current style thing where users can invoke this on any app doing CoreAudio audio input. Sorry for wasting time on this.
So then this is not a suspect… my next guess for what to exclude would be UAD Console… just picking on the most likely to confuse/mess up basic operation things.
