Maximum playlist length?

I'm working with 48 tracks of 96kbs/24 bit in Pro Tools 8 HD (Mac). I've got to a point in the playlist whereby it appears I can't add further clips (c. 6 hrs 12 mins).

Is there a limit to playlist length? I've not encountered this previously, but I have only used 44k1 before.

Thanks for any clues.
