Default beat detective at pro tools m-powered

hi, i´m pretty new with portools.
i just get me the demo-version of protools m-powered. i´ve got a m-audio mobile pre interface.

i´ve watched a videotutorial about quantize audio tracks. it was very fantastic, because it was possible to manage more tracks than just one. that tool beat detective is what i always searched.
but the beat detector in my protools demo version is a little bit different. there is no possibility to "collect" the triggers. the option calls "collection mode".

so, is that the difference to the other protools versions?
or is it just a general setting in protools?

thanx a lot, timo

Welcome to the DUC. Ummm... 'Collection Mode' is a feature of the full edition of Beat Detective which is included in the Digidesign 'Music Production Toolkit'. Pro Tools M-Powered 7.1 or higher compatibility.

The way I see it, you only have two options;
  1. Purchase the Music Production Toolkit, which will give you the multi-track Beat Detective Functionality
  2. Use The Workaround for using the two track beat detective on multi-track drums.

That's it. You may be able to find someone dumping the toolkit on ebay for cheap, but that's rare.

Does the MPTK beat detector work in PT m-Powered 8.5/windows 7? OR is the multi version of beat detective in MP9?
