LE file transfer from powermac to ibook via firewire?
Is it possible to transfer le session files from a powermac g4 (466 os 9.1.w/digi001)) to an ibook (700 os 9.2w/mbox) via a firewire connection. Or is cd the only way to transfer sessions? Thanks guys happy friday. You aint got no job and you aint got s--t to do.

Click on your desktop so you are in the Finder
Choose Help->Help Center Choose Mac Help Type in Firewire Hit Search The item named "Using your computer as an external FireWire hard disk" has the instructions you're looking for.

Re: LE file transfer from powermac to ibook via firewire?
Yes. With your iBook off, connect it via a firewire cable to your G4. Start up the iBook with the T key held down, (for target disk mode, I assume) and your iBook will appear as a hard drive on the G4 desktop.
So your iBook's hard drive functions the same way that an external FireWire drive would on the G4. Drag your files to the iBook hard drive, drag the iBook hard drive icon to the Trash on your G4 to unmount it, turn off the iBook, disconnect from the G4. And I apologize for any butt sounds from my previous post.
