HDX cards got (previous) firmware update, still nagging me.

So i am NOT yet running PT 2022.4
.... and yes i know HDX cards will need a special, NEW firmware update to run 2022.4

I am talking about the PREVIOUS HDX card firmware update....

I hadnt used these 2 HDX cards in a long while

Using them with 2021.x
Catalina
Inside a Mac Pro 2019 (not a chassis)

So clean OS install. Import user data via Mac OS.... all good.

Ran ProTools just fine WITHOUT the HDX cards. All good.

Cool... then did the usual Uninstall HD Driver, then re-install HD Driver. All good.

then...when i first launched PT with HDX cards in the Mac Pro [HDX cards x 2] .... it said needed HDX cards firmware update

I did both, watched it complete both.

It was happy

Shut down, the usual

But now, every time i turn on it nags me "hdx card firmware update needed" right after boot up.

Then runs fine and does not bug me

I then PT trashed prefs

Shut down

Made new session, saved... all happy...

Still nag after every startup.

Also ran digi test (properly)... all good

Any ideas why / how to remove the nag (only happens when rig first turned on)

ps this is annoying.

Possibly do a NVRAM, PRAM, and SMC reset. Some of those query the hardware and they could not have re-queried since the firmware update so are reporting erroneous info to macOS on startup.

Curious if the suggested resets fixed this issue?

Also - where is the info about needing to upgrade the HDX card firmware in order to run 2022.4? I'm not seeing it in the 40-pages of release notes.

update - i finally had time to do both a NVRAM (PRAM), and SMC reset.

nag still exists.

will be running the rig hard today. will report back IF any isssues.
