Default Newbie: Recording off Skype (or anything else)

Hi,

I am a rank newbie here so forgive any ignorance. I have a Fast Track Duo. My hope is to record conversations in Skype. I hooked up the Duo to my computer and started Skype, through the headphones I hear myself and my caller just fine. However I record using Audacity and it only records my voice, not my caller. Likewise if I play music in iTunes, I hear it through the headset but it does not record. I thought anything I hear on the headset would record? Is it a setting, or is it Audacity? Should I use ProTools (I don't have it, but I am willing to make the investment if I know it will work). Is there some other (free?) recording software that would work? Thanks!

EDIT: I found a better way, with easier instructions. I could have used this when I was doing the same thing with trial and error.

You just have to configure it slightly differently here, with Skype instead of WMP.

I figured it out by taking a different approach. I switched to Pamela and it worked fine. Thanks.
