Default compatability

I am kind of new to digi 001 and have a quick question. A friend of mine was going to download PT Free so that he could maybe do some very basic things on his computer and then bring them to me to open up in Pro Tools LE. The thing problem is that his computer has XP which Pro Tools Free is not compatable with. I was wondering if there are anyother Free\Demo software out there that he could use that would be compatible and could then be opened with my Pro Tools LE. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Theorhetically,

Everything is compatible...just not in the way that you would like. Most multitrack software will allow you to do things like: export wav files, aiff files, etc. To use them in PTLE you would have to import EACH file in one at a time.

There is no "save as pro tools session" on any of the multirack programs out there. Wouldn't that be nice though? Also, each software uses different algorithms so the sound will be different. Not good or bad, just different and then is the different sound card issue...
