Default Digi 002 console on a plane to Cali........

Has anyone ever taken their 002 console on a flight?
If so what type of case did you use?
And did they allow it as a carry on if you used a soft case.

Thanks

I've carried it on a flight from California to Hawaii and on a flight from California to Vancouver BC. I used a padded soft case and carried it on the flight with me with no problems. Just make sure nothing might bend the fader caps. I now travel with just a Mbox 2 Mini for mixing. I also have an 002R to travel if I need more I/O for tracking. The 002 control surface version stays in the studio now.

Which padded softcase did you buy? The one that digi sells for 125.00?
Cause for 50.00 more I can get a Gator Gmix 19x22 with handle,wheels...etc
I guess it may be safer with me in a padded bag, although I could just put it in that hardcase and check it..... it should be under 50 pounds.

Thanks for the response.

Since it was carry-on, I just use this samsonite soft padded case I had lying around. I wouldn't check it as I think they throw things around that are checked.
