So is there a fix? I'm new to PT 12.4, Yosemite, Mac Mini. I get these blasts every 3-4 minutes randomly. Just spent $2K going over to Protools, nothing like this happened with Audition. Help!

Default Noise blasts in 12.4 in Sticky...49 pages...What's the fix??

Is there anybody that has a remedy to this problem? As a fulltime producer and new user of PT 12.4 (Yosemite, Waves and UA plugins), I can't even have clients in session because of the nature of this problem. Help!

Kirk, So what do we do in the meantime while a this problem is being resolved? Do we all suspend our sessions out of embarrasment, and keep our hands on the volume control?

There seems to be a fix on the way (read post #469 in this thread), but I have no more info to give you.

Have you tried to trash the PT preferences? Blasts every 3-4 minutes is totally ridiculous.

Enable the Fade-In Transport option. Set a amount of 500ms about.
See if that helps. At least in my case, the noise blasts come less frequently.

Latest from CS. Fixed, should be with us soon at least for Native anyway. No word on ETA of next update.

Current Response:

Entered on: 3/3/2016 2:13 PM Entered by: xxxx

Thanks

I think from what you say, it sounds like:

Ref: PT 210120
Summary: (Urgent Escalation) Noise Bursts during playback

This currently appears to be fixed for Native systems in the next release of Pro Tools.

Kind Regards,

Avid Audio Support
