Default amplitube Jimi Hendrix

Is anybody here using this? I'm finding that on my system it's really taxing. just wondering if anyone else here has any experience with this plug-in

Thanks
Marllee

Most amp sims are CPU "taxing". It's the nature of the beast.

Amplitube 2, on which Hendrix is based (and which I use), is the same way. So is Guitar Rig. So is Waves GTR.

Really hard to give you suggestions without knowing details about your system, though.

The basics are P4 2.4 Ghz 1.5Gb ram Protools le I use a 7200 rpm firewire drive for my rig.
I've been talking with IK CS - I guess because my only experience with amplitude is le ( factory ver.) which has a really small footprint. I was surprised by the amount of power the Hendrix version needs- which is strange because the recommended specs for XP are pretty tame ( Pentium 1 Ghz and 512 MB of ram ) I figured it would run pretty smooth on my system. It does sound great though!

By the way Spkguitar - you Rock!

Thanks

hi,as always spk speaks the truth. i do find that on my machine i can run way more instances of NI's gtr rig than the amplitube 2 plug in. i have had some pretty big sessions running(over 100 tracks)and have had 13(maybe more) gtr rigs running with no problem.
amplitube 2 starts giving my machine fits after the 5th or 6th instantiation of the plug.
