Default Installing Eleven Rack Expansion Pack on a unit repaired with a new board

Hi,

I am contemplating a repair to my Eleven Rack that has lost USB connectivity.

I have been advised by the ARC that it requires a new main board.

To order a new one is not an option, too expensive but the ARC has a NOS board that was never used for another repair but does not have the expansion pack installed.

My Eleven rack was purchased pre expansion pack but i had acquired the upgrade and had installed it

Will i be able to install my EREXP upgrade to my repaired Eleven Rack with the NOS board?

With the new board installed the system id and serial numbers wont match anymore..

Please help

PC windows 7
Desktop i7 8g ram
Laptop Dell inspiron 640m i5 8g ram
Hackintosh i5 8g ram Snow Leopard
M Audio 410
Native Instruments Komplete 8

Maybe....

Do you still have the original computer you used to install the ERXP the first time? If so, and there were no major changes, like clean OS install, it should work because there are hidden files that get placed on the HDD that allow you to re-use the updater.

If you have changed the OS, or are using a different PC, then Avid MAY reset the serial and ID number for you. But you would have to contact them first to see.
