Default Band in a box with pro tools?..

Evening all..
Recently picked up biab to practice piano with, but tbh it looks really handy for throwing ideas together..
It doesn't seem to be working nicely with Pro tools though.
I get to generate once pretty much before the whole thing crashes..
Has anyone any ideas or tips on getting them working nicely together..
Over on the biab forum people seem to think it should work fine with Pro tools..

Probably not a lot of Band in the Box users on DUC. And you are unlikely to get much help since you've not bothered to provide any of the usual basic info expected, or describe any troubleshooting you have done.

Exact Pro Tools version? Exact OS version? What exact error/failure/what do you see happen on the screen? Trashed prefs? Tried starting with a new empty session. System fully optimized? etc.

What are you doing to make it crash/fail? Is it specific to what you are doing with piano or not?

Pro Tools logs might provide some clue, might not, worth checking.

"Should work"... What Pro Tools and OS versions does the vendor claim are supported? Are you running those?

Start at "Help us Help You" up the top of each DUC web page.

OK..fair enough..
It's a gigabyte i9 9900k with 64g ram..Windows 10, Pro tools 2021.12..System optimizsed to within an inch of it's life..
Trashed prefs etc..
Starting with an empty session..just putting together chords and generating one track and maybe playing around with a piano in parallel with it..
Just crashes with either an access violation or just Pro tools has stopped working..

It does seem like a fairly nifty program for throwing tracks together quickly if it did work in pro tools tbh..
If you're into jazz/blues/Country anyway..

Access violations are often plugins, sometimes bad drivers. Is it stable without using BITB or with it uninstalled?

Just for grins you can move all plugins out of the plugin folder and see if it's OK with just the default plugins automagically returned (maybe run up the demo session if you don't have another one handy), then just install BITB and see if that makes things better.

Long shot but you can try checking logs, may not be that useful, but look for what is listed before it crashes, compare to a session that does not crash. https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/ar...o-Tools-System

Otherwise I expect your fastest path to resolving issues with be to deal with BITB support and get them demo session to show the problem.
