Default Anyone using the Mackie Big Knob with their 002?

Hi All,
I use passive monitors with a power amp but just about to purchase a Mackie Big Knob and hoping fellow DUCers might want to share their views/experience with this hardware.

Any help appreciated,
J.D

J.D.
My brother and I both use the Big Knob with our 002's. I have nothing but good to say about it. My brother also likes it as well. Very clean, easy to use. I'm no expert on whether it colors the sound or not, to me, it sounds great, no different than before I used it. Hope this helps, Jason

I highly recommend the Presonus Central Station if you can afford it. The Big Knob certainly gets the job done but I think the CS is a bit more elegant, very slightly better sounding and includes SPDIF in.

Two personal aspects I like, is the design of the Mackie Big Knob for it's versatility , it's mobility. Like unless you have your Presonus Central Station or a Sumo Audient racked directly in front of you, selecting different monitors means tilting from your listening post.

And as my girlfriend say's "it's got a Big Know" No, I mean the volume control is very easily worked, very smooth, and good for big hands.

If that is that critical an aspect then get the remote to go with it.
The concensus has been that the Central Station sounds better than the Big Knob. Feeding the SPDIF into the Central Station instead of using the 002's I/O just sounds better.
While the Knob is cheaper the added functionality and the improved sounds more than balances the price.

That's fair.
