Errors on Playback
In the last few weeks when I open PT (Ultimate 2024.3.1) the first time and I press playback I get weird errors (screenshots attached, -9093 and -9129). I have to quit PT, reopen it and everything works fine.
I haven't changed anything in my PC config (i9 13900KF, Win 11 last updates). I tried trashing prefs, no changes. Avid support hasn't been able to help that much. Anyone else ? Thank you

Re: Errors on Playback
Hey Steve, more info might help. What interface? Anything connecting to that via digital connection? Is this a new problem after an update of any kind(new version of PT, new plugin, etc)? Is it only a single session or all?

Interface is a Lynx Aurora ( n ), connected to an HD native PCI card (which tests fine), no other digital connections. Not major updates like DAW (plugins and Windows get updated almost daily...). It doesn't depend on a session, it happens on any session when I open PT.

Re: Errors on Playback
This can sometimes be caused by plugins, which you did say that you update often.
I would try creating a new session using the sample rate and buffer settings you typically use. Add an audio track, do not add any plugins, then save and close the session. Now try opening that session and see if you still get the error. If not, then try adding one plugin to the track, save, close and reopen. If you are not getting errors, then try the plugins you typically use, one at a time and see if you find the one giving you errors. |

For sure I wasn't totally clear. This happens ONLY when I boot the PC the first time every day. Once I get the error, I quit and reopen ProTools, everything works fine with all plugins and for all sessions. It's like something at the boot stage is happening (or not happening), like loading a driver or something similar. I tried reinstalling the HD driver, didn't help.

Re: Errors on Playback
Wish I had more to offer! I'll be watching in hopes of a good solution from someone more knowledgeable than me
