How to scroll from left to right

I am on a Mac. How do I scroll from left to right with my mouse. I search online and people say shift+scroll but that does not work. Tried it on a 2020 PT studio and 2024 PT ultimate. Both Mac and no luck.

Easiest would be using trackpad.

Shift + scroll wheel definitely works. Unless you've programmed your wheel to something odd. (this goes for all logitech mice at least) It'll work with an Apple Magic Mouse too (but you have other options there.) I'll even do it with the Kennington trackballs because sometimes it's faster.

I have a Kingston Expert trackball. I have held shift and scroll. Held Shift and option and scroll. Does nothing. I have usb overdrive installed but I do not have anything customized in that. It is doing it on two computers. One has the Kingston expert reackball and one has a logitech mouse mx master 3. Neither work with regular shift+scroll. The mx 3 has a thumb wheel that scrolls left to right and that works great. But I need the trackball at the studio because that is in the armrest of a console with not much room.

Every day I use shift+scroll on an MX Master 3 mouse. More so than the Kensington trackballs.

You've done something to your operating system to not recognize the shift key as a modifier. Or you have a bad keyboard.
And Shift+Option+Scroll wheel changes waveform size. If that isn't working, it's proving, once again, your system doesn't recognize the shift key properly.

This is a macOS/system-wide function for side-to-side scrolling.

The shift key works fine when typing. I was able to change waveform size yesterday. I cannot remember what that option was but not ****-option scroll. I do see other people having this problem online with PT.

I just checked with Steinberg Nuendo and Shift+Scroll works perfectly fine for moving left to right with both the mx3 mouse and the Kingston expert trackball. I have no idea in the world why it is not working with PTs??

Deleted USB Overdrive and now it works fine. Do not know how that effected it as other programs were able to left to right scroll with Shift+Scroll. But it is working now so I am leaving it like that.
