Pro Tools 10 all original stock plugins missing?

Hi there, I've been a pt user since 6.9 and have had many years of reasonably trouble free use.. I just upgraded to pt 10 from M Powered 8 and after the usual technical glitches of getting hardware (Tascam DM 3200) to communicate and stripping back a clean install of win 7 64bit I installed my new copy of pt 10.
I loaded up a session from mp8 no problem but for some reason I have none of the stock plugins ie. eq's, compressors and so on. They are not even listed in my common files/dae/plugins folder. I can see all the virtual instruments in there but not a single plugin.

I have done several re-installs of pt, even trawled the registry to wipe any traces of protools related entries before the fresh installs....

Has anyone else come accross this problem and if so did you find a solution?

Did you look in the Plugins(unused) folder? If you find them, drag them into the Plugins folder. Or maybe do a simple windows search for something like "*.rsr" and see if all of them ended up in some odd location(could be a user goof, or an installer glitch, but I've seen PT do stranger stuff). Assuming you installed PT to the C: drive and default directory

I had the same problem (no clue why), but what i had to do was actually take the installer, and run the plugin installer separately, and then it installed.

I ran the avid effects setup installer, within the installer folder

C:\<folder you extracted to>\Pro_Tools_10_Installer_73452\Pro Tools\Pro Tools Installer\ISSetupPrerequisites\Avid Effects

hope that helps, no one else seemed to have this issue when i got it on day one.

I just did my updates too and lost at least two plug ins. I tried to re-install the plug in installer but it would not run because "a newer version was already installed".

Any ideas?

What system? What PT version? What plugins? More info needed please.
