Default mac to pc file conversion

I tranfered 24 tracks from a Tascam Recorder into studio with Pro Tools 24 Mac. Had the files saved on to CD rom. Waited for upgrade 5.1 to convert mac files into PC 001 files. I assumed they were SD II files but when I bring up the import audio conversion window and files of type drop down box no matter what format I chose the bottom message reads: This file is unreadable by pro tools. Any ideas what other possible file format could this studio have used. Their out of business so I'm in a delema, Thanks Billy

-SD II files are not compatible with Windows (WAV and AIFF only). Convert the files on a Mac using Pro Tools or a stand-alone coversion utility such as SoundApp and then copy the files over to your PC.

-All you need is a Mac with a utility called: SoundApp. This can convert SDII files to a variety of formats, including WAV. This utility is available at:
http://www.harmony-central.com/Softw...onverters.html

-Unfortunately, I do not know of any PC utility that can convert SDII files.

Whoa!!!!!!!!

GET MAC OPENER!!!!!!!

PTLE 5.0.1 AND 5.1 FOR WINDOWS BOTH CONVERT SDII FILES.

Install MacOpener (Dataviz). It is a driver that runs in the background in Win98/ME. Set the driver settings to give Dual CD-ROM's priority toward the Mac side.

You then have to set up the extension mapping parameters for PTLE Sessions and SDII files.

Type/Creator for PTLE 5.0.1 is PT5S / PTul
Type/Creator for PTLE 5.1 is PTS / PTul
Sound Designer II is Sd2f / Sd2a

DO NOT COPY ANY FILES FROM YOUR CD TO
THE HARD DRIVE!

Start PTLE.
Set up your session however it's going to be.
Go to Add Audio/Track
Tell it to look on the CD-ROM Drive.
Select the appropriate files.
click import and follow your nose from
there.

You must import the files directly from the CD.
