Keyboard and mouse stop working during playback

Since this morning I've got this huge problem on our PT8 HD2 cs2 on MacPro (quad) OS X

Keyboard and mouse don't respond when PT is playing back the session,
they don't respond only on the PT windoew and they work perfecly on all other mac applications. So I guess is a PT related problem.

Keyboard and mouse don't react but the command are "stored" in the "mac memory" because if make an action (i.e. hit stop, make a selection, open a plug-in window, etc) nothing happens untill i stop playback using C24. Just after the session stops the actions I've made during playback take place.

Any idea?

So I'm not alone...I don't understand why untill friday everything was working fine and now

I've discovered that this strange behaviour occours only whan the CME UF80 master keyboard is on (using both wifi or usb connection).

It happens also on the PT LE 8 rig we have in the small room so now I suppose is a CME problem.

update:

If we use Logic Pro the problem does not occour.

Do you possibly have video in your session with High Priority playback selected in Preferences?

No, no videos involved.

I've checked the Quick time prority and is set to medium with "high qualitiy QT image" set to off.

Was this working properly at some point?

Try this:

Go to MacHD>Users>your account>Library>Preferences>By Host and trash 'com.apple.midi.a bunch of numbers and letters.plist'.

Go to MacHD>Users>your account>Library>Preferences and trash 'com.apple.audio.audiomidisetup.plist'.

Empty the trash and restart, then see if everything is working.

Yes, the CME keyboard (wich is brand new) worked perfectly with PT for the first two weeks.

On monday I'll try your suggestion and come back here to report.
