Default Melodyne 3.0 on G5 quad

anyone have trouble playing back on Melodyne? I hit the space bar and nothing...it loads up ok...but it doesnt play...any suggestions?

It works fine using Melodyne Bridge...however, it doesnt play when you just want to open melodyne without protools open
