Default 192 I/O won\'t sync to Aardsync II

Hi, I recently upgraded to Protools HD from a Mix+ system, including going from an 888/24 to 192 I/O. I'm trying to use my Aardsync II with the 192, but keep getting the following error when tryin got set the Aardsync as master clock:

"Clock Source is out of range and the peripherals have been reverted to Internal clock. Manually reselect the desired Clock Source after verifying the sync source."

I'm using BNC #1 output on the Aardsync with the internal jumper set to x256. I've also tried BNC #2 output (jumper set to x256) with the same results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I know some would suggest to ditch the Aardysync. But, I'd like to check it out for myself with the 192. It made a big diiference to me with the 888/24.

THX!!!

Make sure you are not connecting Superclock to Wordclock or vice versa.

Nope, it's Superclock to Superclock. Thx, though.

The 192 & HD systems no longer use superclock, only workclock, so just set the jumpers at 1x and it should work fine.

Hope this helps,

Joel

Thanks, One Track. That did it. What I don't understand is why the 192 labelling reads, "EXT CLOCK 1x/256x."

That's if you want to hook up a legacy interface such as a 1622 or ADAT Bridge, which will need to get 256x clock from the 192.
