I am in the process of doing this. Go to Support> Support and Downloads>ProTools LE select Eleven Rack from dropdown>Downloads>Eleven Rack Update for Pro Tools 8.0.1>scroll all the way down to " Standalone Digidesign CoreAudio Drivers Installer v8.0.1 (Mac)
54.47 MB " or " Standalone Eleven Rack Audio Driver Installer (Windows) "

Hope that helps. Took me a minute also.

Update: Just worked for me! Good luck.

What version does your Eleven Rack display? The firmware update and instructions are on this page:

Eleven Rack Firmware Update Version 1.0.1
Quote:
Updating your Eleven Rack to Firmware Version 1.0.1

Make sure your Eleven Rack unit requires this update by checking the currently installed firmware version number:

* Press and hold the Edit/Back button to access the User Options menu.
* Once the User Options menu appears, use the Scroll wheel to highlight "Firmware Version" and press the SW1 button, which is labeled SELECT.
* If the displayed firmware version is "510", you should run this updater.
* If the displayed firmware version is v 1.0.1 or higher, you do not need to run this updater.

So this is what I am doing...
I have Vista Home NTFS file system and 0510 11R firmware...

turn off my Norton antivirus, everything OK...

Click on Repair for the ElevenRack Driver 1.0.8 (X64), everything OK...

click on eleven rack firmware updater and receive this message..."eleven rack drivers are not installed on your computer. Please download and install the latest drivers and retry this update".

I am trying it with the 11R turned on and turned off... I do not have any issues with the 11R communicating with my computer, I have installed Pro Tools LE and I am able to change the 11R parameters within ProTools...

Did you do a full re-install of the PT8.01 that came with ElevenRack? It took me a while to figure out that even though I was already running the latest version of PT8.01 I still needed to do a re-install of PT8.01.

I just tried and reinstall everything including a search I did for digi drivers "http://www.paceap.com/dldrvr.html".... still no results... I like the 11R; however, It looks like I cannot bring it up to date. Is there another way I can update the firmware? Please help...

Are you running Pro Tools while you try to run the Firmware Updater? If so, that might be the problem.

If you're able to launch Pro Tools with Eleven Rack as your ENGINE, then the Drivers are installed and all should be well.

Make sure you quit Pro Tools, then run the Firmware Updater application.

Note that the Driver and the Firmware are two totally different things, and each has its own dedicated Installer. The Driver is on your computer and allows Eleven Rack to talk to Pro Tools and your operating system. The Firmware is in the Eleven Rack hardware, and the only relationship it has to the Driver is that the Driver needs to be on the computer for the Updater to communicate with the Firmware in the hardware.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the information,
Protools is closed,
I checked my computer drivers and it clearly shows that digi driver has no issues and it is installed,
I have disabled Norton and all other services that were unnecessary,
I then retried the firmware update and still that same message that I need to install my eleven rack drivers...
is there any have any other advice or something else I can do. This is really disappointing, I really do like the 11R except the fact that I cannot update it...

Why the firmware is not able to see digi's driver from my computer?...

here is the message "The Eleven Rack drivers are not installed on your computer. Please download and install the latest drivers and retry this update."
