Default Very small font and display

Hey everybody, I am just getting started with PT. I just installed PT first to try it out before buying.

First thing out of the gate I have an issue: everything on the protools screen is seriously tiny, like it's been zoomed out to 25% or something. When it first opens it looks normal, then it switches to being miniscule.

Is there hopefully a quick and easy fix for this? thank you

Tough to offer advise with zero info on the setup
What size is the screen?
What resolution is it set to?
Give at least the basic details on the computer.
If its Windows 10, check Scaling and try different settings(100% would be my starting point)

Hello Dave,

I just installed PTF and have the exact same issue.

My setup is:
Windows 10 Pro, 64-bits
RAM: 8.00 GB
Processor: Intel i5-10500 @ 3.10GHz
Monitor: 27 inch
Display resolution is 3840 x 2160

Note: All other software and apps look great.

I did upped the scaling to 200% an it still looks like this...

All your guidance and suggestions are welcome!

Are you not able to maximize the window, or drag the edges to fill the main window? 4K on a 27" screen is likely to make everything tiny. Can you reset the screen to 1920x1080?(probably with scaling reset to 100%)

Instead of scaling the 4K display to a percentage (i.e. 200%), set the Display Resolution to HD 1920x 1080 and the scaling back to 100%.

That approach makes no difference. It is not the size of the window that's a problem. It is the illegible details in the edit window. Been fighting this for hours today. Found a bit of help from a colleague on YT:
Right click the PT icon on your desktop and select properties. Changing a few of the settings under compatibility got me to where everything is sized normally, but there is a serious offset between the edit window, and where the transport thinks the beginning is located, like 2 inches. Totally unworkable. I only got this far after uninstalling PT and doing a fresh download and reinstall. Still screwed presently. using WIN10/64, i7 6500U, 2.5 Ghz, Asus laptop, 12 gig of ram, NVIDIA GeForce 940M, 200%, 3200x1800 (recommended)
