Looking forward to start using these beauties asap They look great and as per usual when it comes to UA gear, it will be the best purchase of the year.
We spent a lot of time improving the converters (some of the best specs/sound at any price) and the clocking. The early reviews and impressions from users are incredibly positive. We think Apollo X is going to set a new sonic standard for interfaces.

These look like a nice extension of the current products, which all are a nice wide range of configs but the thing I miss here is a model option with a decent number of AES/EBU inputs. I guess a RME ADI-4 DD would do the trick as an SMUX converter but a Apollo 8x with 8x AES/EBU input and output on a DB-25 would be great instead of the ADAT/SMUX.

Almost a month now. What's your verdict on these?

Hey

Yeah I have been abroad for producer work but home now and all I can say is these new boxes are lightyears ahead of the older ones. Much more dB output and sounds like I removed a piece of cotton from my ears when using these.

The dsp power is updated and I can run atleast 50% more plugins on each of the X8's which in turn makes us use more of the heavy DSP ones from UAD-2

Couldn't be happier and I will report back again when we done a whole project finished this month. Love them and buying the X16 to hook up to our SSL4K console asap for more ins and outs.

Thanks for the report. Now I just have to find out how the x6 compares to the x8Ps that you have and above. (hobbyist)

Sonically, x6 is identical to x8P. The x16 specs slightly better being our flagship model.

Hope this helps.
