Default H/W Buffer Size Error Message (-6085)

I am having a new issue popping up during playback. This happens every time I play any project, whether it is a somewhat complete song or simply a click track. The song stops and a error message pops up.

Note
The audio device buffer underflowed. If this occurs frequently, try decreasing the "H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine or remove other devices from the audio firewire bus. (-6085).

I tried decreasing the buffer size in the playback engine to its most minimum setting and the same error occurs. I've been using my digirack 002 for a long time, and I've never had this issue before recently.

On Monday of this week, I called Digidesign about my machine acting oddly, and I was overnighted a new power harness which I installed on Tuesday (which in my opinion was awesome customer service - way to go Paula and Digi!), and was very excited to begin recording again, but now this issue has come up.

I've tried to search the forums regarding this issue and have come up with no results for (-6085) and a broad selection of threads and topics if I search by "H/W Buffer size" or other parts of that error message.

I'm currently using ProTools LE 7.1

Are you using the built in FW port on this computer, or a 3rd party FW card? If you're using a card, which one, exactly?

Usually this error is caused by an incompatible FW chipset - using a compatible FW card usually fixes it. Is your computer custom built or is it a brand name?

I'm using a 3rd party firewire card - it's a Dynex PCI card.

My computer is custom built.

Hope that helps

Ah - quite likely the problem. You should get one of the recommended FW cards:

Here in hungary I cannot buy the siig card. Will a texas instrument chipset firewire card do the job? Or can you recommend some more cards or brands which are known to be good?
