Default s3L Standalone

Any word on if/when the s3L controller will be available for purchase separately, as a controller only?

Hi,

I personally believe that S3 will be available when VENUE 4.5 and EuControl 3.2 comes out. That's July/August predictable...

To each his own, but I personally wouldn't get too excited over a misinterpretation, which has since been clarified.

Plus, the S3L is missing a bunch of stuff needed in a DAW environment, such as transport controls, so what would you do with it?

So, if you're holding out hope for a cheap S6 I don't think you're going to see that happen...

I do not work for Avid (their loss)...my only relationship with Avid is that of a customer (when I'm not too poor to buy stuff, like now)...and that hot administrative assistant...that's more of a "thing" than a "relationship" (that should keep them guessing for a while...)

Just rockin'...what more is there?

It'd be a lot more than a few artist series controllers I'd guess...

Ok, I missed this. What are you referring to?

I haven't used transport controls on a controller in... well, I can't even remember the last time I did. Numeric keypad or spacebar does the job very well for me.

Obviously it's not a cheap S6, the way I'd see it is as a better Artist. More solid, more faders, still small footprint.

And a 4 in 4 out audio interface with 2 mic pres, thats good too. Also I would not be surprised if Function keys would be possible to program to act as transport keys. Even now you can program them on S3L system to record arm tracks in PT or work as transport keys.

I feel compelled to ask if there are any news on this front. Surely they'd sell the unit by itself one would think.

Anyone?
