Mix window view selector

I really hope this is my last question tonight.

Why is the Mix Windows View Selector ALWAYS open when I open a session even if I save the session with it closed?

Try closing it through the Exit in the dropdown window, not the 'X' in the top/right.

I tried both.
Nothing seems to get this back to being closed by default.

When you have the windows where you want them try closing Pro Tools with alt-f4.

Just tried that.
Nothing will help me open up any single session any more with that dang "Mix Windows View Selector" CLOSED.

This is very frustrating.

Surely there's gotta be a checkmark or something somewhere that I'm missing.

ALT+F4 has been the only command that does this for me.

I have literally tried everything.
Even deleted the pref files and I still ALWAYS have the "Mix Windows View Selector" open even when opening up a new session.

Is there a check mark somewhere that I need to either check or uncheck? ? ?

Sure is, on the menu bar where it says "Window" try unchecking "mix". THEN close with alt+f4.

I just tried that but it still opens with the Mix View Selector open.

As a matter of fact even
1. closing the Mix View Selector and then
2. exiting out of the Mix window all together and
3. saving the session after that
4. closing the session and
5. reopen the session and
6. open the mix window again.
The Mix window will come on WITH the View Selector OPEN!!!!!
