is there a resource for Orchestral arrangements, or Pop, of Anything "All in Midi"
I'd like to have 24 midi tracks of a song, load up 24 VI's into pro-tools, one for each part, more for my learning curve, and to "Find the boundaries" of different VI's. I need to spend some more time learning, and experimenting with the Midi, and notation features in PT and 24 tracks of Midi / Arrangement of a song would be a great place to start.

I've never had much luck with the free MIDI file sites as good arrangements are often hard to find on them. I would try:
http://www.sibeliusmusic.com/ They have a load of scores and arrangements, which are very reasonably priced and some are free. The standard seems to be very high. It doesn't provide MIDI files unfortunately, but it uses the sibelius scorch plugin. In this plugin you can choose any available MIDI port and if you configure it's output to go to the IAC bus you can record the MIDI into PT. That should give you plenty to play with. |
