Default using midi clock (for Kenton Pro MKII)

Hi all,

I'm using a MIDI-CV converter from Kenton, this device gets midi signals (in my case from ProTools) and use them to control old vintage synths....

The Kenton has internal LFO that can be output to the synth to create a sine-wave for example on the low-pass-filter of the synth.

One of the features of this device is to use the ProTools clock (midi clock) to sync the wave length of the kenton (the length of the Kenton's LFO) with Protools so that the wave length will be related to the BPM of the music (for example 1 bar)

The midi clock sends 24 signals per beat and the Kenton CV "learns" it and makes it's (the Kentons) internal LFO to be the length of 1 beat, the Kenton can also make the LFO 1 bar long but that's it.

The problem is that this way I can only sync the Kenton device LFO for 1 bar (or 1 beat) length, and I'd like it to be 8 bar wave length - a long but synced wave.

So i need to tell ProTools to send midi-clock that is the current BPM divided into 8...

Is there are way to do this on ProTools LE or in ProTools in general??? using some configuration? or RTAS?

Can this be solved if i'm using an external hardware clock device??

It can be done using this trick - dividing the BPM of the music by 8 for these specific parts i'm recording, but this doesn't look like a good solution to me, some of the results will be 18.675 BPM and it smell fishy... this is a studio album with a lot of money invested into it, i don't want to do damage to the album.

Thanks,
Hagai.
