Default labeling midi?

Hi,

Just wondering if you can label individual midi notes. I program my drums with midi and it would be helpful if I could label each section snare, hi hat, crash, etc, etc rather than seeing the black and white piano keys.

Also is there a way to isolate the midi notes I need rather than seeing the whole range. I know you can isolate one note if you want to but I'm trying to get a group.

I'm pretty new to pro tools, so I apologize if it's a bit of a dumb question. I did try to find it in the manual.
