Tracking latency 001 vs. 002, 003?
I've been a long time 001 user with an Apogee Rosetta
200 for AD/DA. I'm thinking of either upgrading to a new 003 & Mac Pro or a used HD1 system and my current G4 1.25 single processor. I never use the low latency feature because of the Apogee. At 128, I have no tracking problems. I just discovered that the 002, because it's firewire, has more latency. Has anybody found this to be a major problem? Anyone with an 003 yet? |

The 002/003 have buffer settings as low as 64 samples, so you'll be fine if you're used to working at 128.

Thanks. Any problems working at 64 with a fast comp. like
a MacPro 2.66? |
