Uncheck SPDIF Mirroring = CRASH!

Hi all!

just got my cranesong hedd and am trying to use it. When i go into pro tools hardware settings, i uncheck spdif mirroring so i can use the cranesong as a insert. when I try to close pro tools with spdif mirroring unchecked, it gives me an error and then pro tools crashes following loud noises from the monitors.

Does anyone know how to fix this error? THANKS!!

Don't have an answer, but the same thing happened to me................

Can't tell you the answer for sure, but try doing the S/PDIF switch with a small session open instead of the blank 'first screen' that comes up... then save the session and close PT.

When I had buggy video drivers this procedure would prevent disaster (until I figured it out about the video card driver.
Give it a try. Worst that can happen is same ol' same ol'...

Now if that's what you were doing already, then nevermind.

Hi Digidesign Team.

Do you have any news yet?

Going digital on fx units is better than analogue sometimes. It would be great to have a fix.

Hope you can give us an idea of where things are with this.

Mine does the same thing...haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. Must be a bug....
