Upgrade PT8LE Mbox3 to PT11

Hello,
I need to upgrade my Pro Tools 8 LE from my mBox3 to PT11.
My problem is that I don't have ilok since the licence is from the mbox.

How to do the upgrade ? Do I have to buy an iLok ? How to transfer the license from the mbox to the ilok, to upgrade to 11 ?

Also, I registered my product in my avid account, but nothing appears in "my downloading etc"

Thanks if you can help me. I used to manage HD and pro gear, but nothing is the same with this little sound card :-/

There is no iLok involved with an upgrade from Pro Tools 8 LE. You will be required to provide the serial number of your hardware interface that 8LE came with... and that must not have been used for a previous Pro Tools upgrade.

Right now the excrement is hitting the fan about Avid upgrades and the mess around support subscriptions, etc. prices. Avid also stopped selling upgrades while making changes to these upgrades. You should educate yourself about all this before deciding to jump in. Pro Tools is great, but there are lots of other DAW choices out there.

Almost… Only from my understanding we need an ilok to run protools 10 and 11. Is that not correct?

Yes, and all the is spelt out in brutal detail anywhere you actually buy the cross-grade. And actually you need an iLok 2, an older iLok will not work. Sorry the confusion is often with folsk who don't already have an iLok (no need to just for Pro Tools LE) and think they need a Pro Tools 8 LE licenses on an iLok (there no such thing) to start with. Maybe that was not the case here or with you.

iLok 2 can be purchased online or at many music retailers.
