Default Scorch keyboard fail?

Hi,

I just got a piano and have never played before. I thought Avid Scorch would be a good idea to learn notes by playing a melody i like. Therefore i bought Scorch for iPad with the theme from Schindler´s list.

But somehow the keys from the keyboard seem to get stuck. So i dont know which key is currently played and which not. Im not sure if this is a fail from Scorch itself or from the song?

Ive made a video, so you can see what i mean -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dTCmIvvwwk

Thanks,
Phil

I'm not sure, but it seems as though you do not read music. I saw your youtube video, & the app looks like it's performing perfectly. The "stuck" keys are merely showing you which notes are (still) being sounded; the chords are being held for a whole measure, while the melody line moves over them. You may want to find a chart that has only a melody, so you can see a single note at a time.

I did notice that when you abruptly restarted the song, the keys that were being played at the time of restart seemed to linger into the beginning of the replay. Not sure if this is what you meant by the keys being "stuck," but I'm mentioning it since either issue could be what you are experiencing.

Please don't be offended if I've misinterpreted your post!

Yup, i thought that too, but its nowhere in the help documentation mentioned how the keyboard behaves. But thats not the problem, because keys get stuck over a long period. So if im meant to hold those keys all the time while i cant even see the new keys played (because the ones im holding are still marked), then theres something wrong, i guess.

Hi Panthau,

We're aware that the keybaord doens't always refresh and some keys can look as though they are held down for ever.

It's on the list to fix but for now you will find you can close the score and re-open it. Not ideal but it'll get things back to normal for now.

Sam
