Default delete rendered files elastic audio BUG!!!

the 7.4 manual says that after you finish editing (streching) audio with the elastic plugins and you "commit" then protools generates a new audio file in the audio files folder & the temporary rendered file from wich it was created is deleted from the rendered files folder

my issue is that once im done editing and commit... i still have the rendered file inside the rendered files folder

this is a problem cause i work at 96k and a stereo file will be about 148mb thats a lot of space that i need for other data

this is even after i select unuesd files (shift + command + U) and delete them (shift + command + B)

"a workaround could be to open the workspace browser and manualy delete the unused files"

but i would like for someone from digidesgn to tell me the best way to do this to avoid issues with the session

please advice

It won't delete the files until the session is closed. This is by design as these files are still essentially in the undo queue.

If you rename the rendered files folder does opening the session give you the missing files window? If not you can delete the directory.

Without knowing what sort of editing steps and features you used in your session (fades, region groups, render mode analysis editing ..etc) its very hard to know has caused the left over files.

Are they all wav or aiff files, or are they aan files?

i used real time elastic ...

but it is currently disabled on all channels (no elastic plug ins)
& i allready commited to the edited (warp) soundsbites

after i finished i have consolidated the soundbite (even thou it was a hole soundbite without any edits) with [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]+alt/option+3

and deleted all unused files by pressing shift+command+U and shift+command+B

wich means that the files within the rendered files folder are not use by the sesion. neither by the undo que nor by the elastic audio

digi please advice on how should i procced to erase them & why dosent protools take care of the files by itself (wich is what the manual says it should do, whereas its a BUG)

i currently have more than 500megas used by this folder that is just dead weight

Can you give us the exact steps you're using through the process of stretching and committing your elastic audio tracks? I'm thinking there's something about the process you're doing that's causing this, but I can't say for sure exactly what it is without knowing what you're doing.
