How clocking in the Aux IO will be, is still a mystery to me..
this unexpected feature could be amazing, so potentially we could pipe other apps (ableton outputs with link sync?), USB instruments with sound output (eg TRS8) directly in without need for interface routing/big analogue ins and out. well i guess all revealed soon, and was mostly holding out for ARA2 but this could be more fun...

Hasn't Apple figured out a way to run Intel plugs inside native Logic? I know it didn't start that way, but I think they managed to get it working. I can't remember.............

Avid will need to move quickly as they are not going forward with new OSX support on a LOT of Macs. I am already seeing that I may need to buy something new, which is fine as they have there hands tied as we movingforward with Apple losing compatibility with Mojave for example. My guess is that they are working on this.

yep, Intel AU plugins can run in individual "rosetta-wrappers" (not the official terminology) in any AU-compatible host. I've been using this in Ableton myself. Though, if you're running a *lot* of intel-au plugins, it's actually more efficient to run the whole application in rosetta mode.

For now, look at Ginger Audio.

Good! Nexus and the updates are overpriced!

That’s welcome news. I wonder when this will happen… doesn’t look like 2022.9.

Ya it seems this Aux I/O thing is probably what he was referring to. I had wishful thinking hoping they'd incorporated the renderer so we could go back to using the HDn playback engine instead of DAB. Oh well.

It looks like there's also a new free version of Pro Tools coming with 2022.9 release. Pro Tools Intro.
This is mentioned in Avid Link 2022.9 documentation
