Midi Editor notation view Track Order Bug
Been dealing with a bug in the notation view for some time I'd like to see fixed. To reproduce it:
1.) In your session, select several midi tracks. Right or ctrl click, and choose "Open In Midi Editor" 2.) Switch to the notation view in the midi editor window you just opened. The tracks you selected will appear, in the correct order. 3.) Add a new midi track to your session and name it whatever you want. But to see the bug, make sure you don't leave this track at the bottom of your session (put the new track somewhere in the middle of your existing midi tracks) 4.) In the track list pane on the midi/notation window, make the new track visible. The new track will appear, but on the bottom of your midi editor screen. Infact, no matter where you put your new track, it will ALWAYS appear on the bottom until you close pro tools and re open the session. Also: Change the order of your midi tracks that you've recently opened in the midi editor/notation view. Though the order will change in the track list, the order will not update in the midi editor notation view.

Re: Midi Editor notation view Track Order Bug
So you can reproduce it? I've posted about it before - as has another composer friend - but we couldn't get any traction (though this is the first time I've been so explicit in how to get the bug to show up.)
It severely impacts my workflow when I'm trying to do detailed orchestration/score editing work before sending out to Sibelius...still just aren't too many folks using the notation features for there to be a critical mass of complaints ( :
