Now back to eBay to find some more hardware to look cool (ah hm...I mean sound cool) in my home studio. :)
did you save them as a preset? (for each unit).
I'm guessing the latency would change at different buffer settings.

I created a little excel spreadhseet with values for each unit at each different buffer setting.

But these days with this sorted out, I'll use a high buffer setting on most projects unless I'm using Virtual Instruments etc which isnt often.

Or, track and edit in PTLE and then consolidate and mix in Logic which has ADC.
I like PT for tracking and editing but for large sessions mixing without ADC is too much of a royal pain.
Amazing that Avid hasn't made it a regular feature of PTLE yet. I guess they're waiting until they lose even more market share.....

Lick your finger and stick it in the wind.

Yay! About friggin time. This is the only move they could do (PT9) but boy they sure put it off as long as they possibly could. This should make a lot of our lives easier. ADC alone was enough of a pain that I was working elsewhere. But I much prefer PT as I have been using it since SDII.
Whew....

So, how is the future of ATA now with Pro Tools 9?

I guess for Hardware Inserts it´s still really useful.

I for one won't miss the ATA madness... With all due respect I hated using it and I really had to with my UAD2 solo plugs, which are latency monsters! The MM templates were so dang complicated to most of us... Obviously I'm a knucklehead compared to the brainiac behind ATA. So far so good with PT9 ADC, but since I'm still in the early stages of a composition, I'm not really stress testing it hard.
