Default Digi001 vs Cubase

Hi, I'm thinking of buying Digi 001 and would
really apreciate some advice/insight.I have a few questions:
1) How does digi stack up against Cubase VST?
(I have cubase 3.5 which I don't own so
I have no support or way to upgrade)
2) Will digi be compatible with a G4 with OS9?
3) How do I get the midi interface on digi to
hook up to the G4.USB adapter?
Many thanks to all who reply.

Aggy

Default Re: Digi001 vs Cubase

These topics have been covered, but not in a while...

1. Cubase vs PTLE: Cubase is a better sequencer at the moment; PTLE is a better audio editor and mixdown DAW. I use both. Choose your poison...

2. Digi IS compatible with G4s and OS9. It's what I'm running (OS 9.0.4). I believe it's even compatible with the dual G4s just coming out.

3. The midi interface on the 001 is built-in and gets connected when you connect the main interface. You can use an external USB midi interface in addition to the built-in one if you want (I have a MOTU MTP A/V using USB).

is this working 100% good and synced (via iac drvr) ?
cpu ?

i like cubase (for the last 6 years) what i did was
connecting 2 computers ... mtc sync PT>>cubase .

I haven't tried Cubase and PTLE with the IAC driver yet. In THEORY, it should work (if you have enough RAM for both programs). If the new PTLE 5.1 doesn't have the midi features I need, I may give it a whirl, tho'.
