Does Pro Tools LE have a MIDI search and replace function that would, for example, allow me to search for all the C#2's in a given track and change their velocities to 87? If it exists, I'm just not seeing it.
Thanks in advance! |

AFAIK, PTLE's midi doesn't have a search and replace function per say, but it does have 'select notes' under the midi menu which I believe will do the same thing. Use the selector tool first to highlight the area with the notes you want to change, and then use select notes.
You can also use the grabber tool (the hand) and select the notes you want (it puts a block around them), switch to velocity view in the edit window and then change the velocity. With the grabber, all you have to do is select the notes, with 'select notes' you have to make a selection first before using select notes; then switch to velocity view to change the velocity in either case. With PTLE's midi, nothing is as simple as just do it. |
