Hi,
I've following setup: Mac Pro 5,1 (10.8.5 + PT10HD 10.3.10) Digidesign Accel core + HD accell card Digidesign 96 i/o (four units) Digidesign Sync i/o Digidesign Midi i/o Mackie D8B mixer (32 ADAT i/o channels) Mackie is master clock 44.1 Sync i/o gets sync from Mackie with AES cable. Sync i/o is loop master for 96 i/o boxes All is working well, and reliably. What I want to do next is configure this the way mackie transport controller controls Pro Tools. I'm not actually sure if this has ever worked, but I'm hoping to archive following: Mackie mixer: play, stop etc. functions, record arming tracks, jog shuttle, memory locations etc. controls Pro Tools. I've run midi cable from Sync i/o MTC out connector to Mackie midi in, and after activating Pro Tools transport generate LTC button, booth Sync i/o led display and Mackie are displaying Pro tools time code information. (Sync i/o displays exact Pro Tools values, and Mackie is 3-4 frames behind) I assume next step is to run midi cable from Mackie Midi out to Digidesign Midi i/o midi in, and then configure macOS and Pro Tools midi functions to be correctly synced, and configure Pro Tools to be controlled by Mackie? Any help would be much appreciated, but I was hopping to understand this procedure firs correctly, before going in to the specific details how to configure all this. Thanks already in advance! Hmmm, shooting from the hip as you have some "antique" gear, but transport control is likely handled via HUI, which is configure under Setup>Peripherals(if the D8B has a USB port on it, its likely just for that purpose)

You'd need both MIDI Out and MIDI In of the D8B connected to the MIDI I/O.
Then set it up under Peripherals as HUI and set to the correct port numbers. This is assuming you have the later D8B software that supports HUI. Just don't expect much beyond transport, fader, and pan. Track arming I'm not sure about.

D8b will only deliver via HUI, 8 faders plus transport.
Better than nothing though.
